Spring/Summer Look Book

Over the next week, I'll be bringing you a Spring/Summer Look Book!
Professionally photographed with styling and outfit tips to inspire your warm weather wardrobes!

Today I bring you 'a walk down the river'. A fashionable casual look that can keep you warm in the spring breeze, but show of your super tanned legs. (Works well for our current British climate!)

The outfit consists of an Embroidered Cut Out White Skirt (Topshop), Pointielle Detail Blue Jumper (Primark) and White Cuffed White Sandals (Asos).

The simple accessories won't break your bank, everyone needs a tan waist belt (secret: this one came off a dress I once bought, re-use!). And a statement clutch in any contrasting colour would work, the coral (Warehouse) bag is a lovely pop of colour.

These shoes are a staple buy for the season, the cuffed ankle looks great for us tall folk! However, smaller ladies should watch out as they have a tendency to cut you off and make you appear tiny! (argh!) For an alternative, a pair of tan chunky sandals would work nicely, low or mid heel as this is a daytime look!

Really hoped you enjoyed the first instalment of the Look Book!
Let me know your thoughts and what your favourite piece is from the look!

Lvndr Jewellery

So recently I saw on many bloggers favourites like Couture Girl (www.x-couturegirl-x.blogspot.co.uk), the lovely jewellery from Lvndr (www.lvndr.co.uk). I started to follow them on Instagram and found myself wanting everything they posted, always the case! So I made a small purchase last week of this beautiful anchor ring.

The cute personal wrapping is lovely to get in the post, and when you get to the jewellery inside its so beautiful!

I have a thing for anchors, they remind me of beaches, sea, sand and holidays! So I chose this ring from their collection, (http://www.lvndr.co.uk/shop/4580274098/Anchor-Ring/7920843). Its a great size that could also be used as a midi ring. Costing a tiny £3.59 you don't feel the pinch at all!
A personal piece of jewellery and a great service!

Liz Earle

To be honest before I delved into the world of beauty blogging, I had never once come across Liz Earle. Now let me just firstly agree with you all, Liz Earle is by far my favourite skincare at the moment. Bloggers are going crazy for her cleansers and lotions!
And I don't blame them so here are my two favourite buys from Liz Earle.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, Hot Cloth Cleanser (£14.75) 100ml
This cleanser was recommended to me by several bloggers so I had to give it a try and looking back to six months ago, I'm so glad I did. Having re purchased this product twice already, I really can say that if you want a cleanser that removes every spec of grime from your face, gently exfoliates and leaves your skin smooth and not red. This is for you. The product isn't an expensive buy either and I really like the technique you use with the cleanser. Putting the product onto dry skin and polishing off with a warm damp muslin cloth is simple, you don't get water everywhere (I have a small sink...), and its convenient. I can't sing its praises enough, it doesn't leave you with a flawless complexion and model like skin tone. It does the work a cleanser should, it cleans and I MEAN cleans!
Lovely product.

Lix Earle Tiare & Jasmine Silky Body Lotion (£14.50) 250ml
I always have trouble with moisturisers for my skin, they either leave my skin too greasy or not hydrated enough. So when I received a sample of this luxurious lotion, after using up the sample within minutes, I sprinted to the store to buy the full size! Not only does this smell absolutely, dare I say... Devine! It glides gorgeously onto the skin leaving your body feeling smoother than silk! The smell also stays with you all day, unlike some that smell good at first application then is gone in minutes. A really luxury product, it feels like it should be a lot more expensive!

May Shopping Haul

Throughout May my main concern was to bulk up my summer wardrobe, well the summer holidays are drawing close! 60 days and counting! Here are three of my staple buys for the month, of course I bought more (haha) but I wanted to show you how you can buy signature pieces that you can wear again and again for the summer! All costing £22 and under, how perfect?!

Tropical print is so high on my trend list this season so this piece had to be purchased. Amazing thing is this cute crop top came with matching shorts (everyones loving the co-ord!). But I decided to buy only the top, its from www.missguided.com and cost £14.99, I sized down in this top as I noticed it could be a bit baggy around the arm pits, this fits me better in the smaller size. I'm planning to team mine with high waisted shorts and a tan belt, but to dress it up i'll wear with white tailored shorts.

Frills aren't usually my cup of tea, however this top looked so flattering on especially for us girls with a tiny bust! Found in Topshop at £22, this lemon off shoulder crop top will look great all through spring and summer teamed with white a embroidered skirt/short or simple high waisted (Joni) jeans. I love how this top can be taken from day to night.

The new Primark in Leeds Trinity really did deliver when I recently shopped there. I love a clean, tidy primark not the kind that leaves me with a headache! This skirt cost an affordable £9, and the A-line style really works well for many shapes highlighting your waist and slimming your legs. The palm print is big this season and I had hundreds of ideas for styling this skirt, tucking in a cream cami, mixing in a coral crop top or a tailored white shirt and chunky white sandals.

I will be posting on my instagram these outfits styled in the coming weeks! Let me know of all your May purchases, I'm sure they're making you feel all summery!
