Three Primark Bargain Buys

I'm a primark junkie! (There I said it, phew!) Anything I can buy at a bargain price is my ultimate dream so I always spend approximately an hour in Primark sifting for those 'die for' buys!

Today I thought I'd bring you my recent Primark Haul! 

But my bags were overflowing so I have narrowed it down to my three favourite buys!

This dress nearly screamed at me when I saw it! (Okay, not literally...) But the print is so summer friendly, I love it! The floral hawaiian print hits the tropics trend on the head! Also the high neck style is really flattering, it falls just above the knee in an A-line style. The winning price is £9! For 'too hot to handle' evenings out on holiday this will keep you cool all night long! Ideal!

Now, I must admit I didn't need a decorative cushion, nor did I want one until I saw this! How cute is that bicycle.. its sooooooo cute! Can you believe this was a fiver! Yes £5! How dare they!? (haha!) 

I love it, it fits in perfectly with my room and its all beautifully embroidered, this would be nearly 10 times the amount in other stores so I had to buy it!

I'm addicted to Ray Bans. I love the styles they sell they suit my face really well. These were £1, yes a single coin! I figured I could take these on my girly holiday where accidents are bound to occur! I would be an emotional wreck if my real ones broke! They're a tortoise shell design and great sun protecters! 

So Primark, come on it might give you a headache but when you leave with bargains like these you can't complain!

Dolls Union & VLOG #1

Thank god the weather is looking up! Those rainy days where giving me whip lash, its supposed to be June right?! 

So this week I got to take part in a blogger event with brand new upcoming brand Dolls Union. 

It was super exciting, we got to try on the new stock and style it up! After, we took part in a mini photo shoot. Dolls Union is a brand all about connecting with the customer, selling affordable pieces that you'll wear again and again!

Here I decided to style up the White 90's Crop Top with the Pink A-line Skirt. I love midi skirts at the moment I think they're really flattering and teaming it with the crop top edged up the outfit. The scuba material is lovely and soft, and I chose to add a statement necklace to the outfit to make it cocktail party ready! Costing only £24 for the outfit, bargain!

Now I've seen these graphic tees all over the high street and this one has to be my fav! I teamed my #OOTD Tee with my Missguided Tropical Skirt, the top is only £8 and I have hundreds of styling ideas for this one! The nude heels make this outfit stand out, however trainers would look really quirky with this outfit too! (Plus bit more comfortable!)

Now I never wear clingy, body con dresses they're normally not my cup of tea, but I gave this a go and totally changed my mind! The pale nude colours together look lovely with my blonde hair, and for a special occasion this dress is great! This Colour Block Dress fit like a glove, and was comfortable to wear! (Psst, only £18 too!)

I had a great day trying on the clothes it was really fun so a big thank you to Dolls Union! I hope to get involved in more events like this, however my shopping list is getting rather long... (ha!)

Below is my first ever VLOG! I really enjoyed doing this, and personally I'm dead proud of it (hehe). Sometimes watching a small video is better for people than reading a long blog so now on events like this one I hope to start wacking out my video camera and shooting some awesome footage!

Tropical Evening Wear

Don't know about you but I find it so difficult to dress for a night out! My head is full of ideas and I can never decide, so I thought I'd do an #ootd post! Little bit of inspiration for when your choosing your next outfit to spill cocktails down (haha!) 

It was fairly warm on this Saturday night so I chose a cami and shorts combo, the palm/tropical print cami is from Warehouse at £22 this is a great piece for this Summer. I tucked it in to these black swing shorts from River Island unfortunately I bought these in the sale last year however I have found some similar ones from Warehouse.   

I styled it up with my DKNY watch and my Lvndr anchor ring.

 Simple styling with this look, the shorts are a staple piece to invest in and look great throughout all seasons.

And my shoes are my holy grail, I wear these on most nights out without fail as they're SO comfy! From Bank Fashion I got these two years ago, sorry girls! The strappy chunky heels are all over the high street now.

This is outfit was comfortable and kept me cool throughout the entire night!

New Look MOM Jeans

Hello! I hope your having a lovely Saturday, quick blog post today about a recent cheeky purchase I made on ASOS (thanks to the 48hr 25% off student discount!).

New Look MOM Jeans

I have been desperate for some MOM jeans ever since Topshop made their famous pair, but I was after a cheaper alternative. So these jeans are retailed at £24.99, not bad ey?!

I bought them through ASOS, free delivery (woo!)

Must admit they are a little big around my waist, I got a size 10 but I knew i'd be wearing them with chunky leather belts so this didn't matter much to me. They are a lovely relaxed fit, dead comfortable and the light-mid wash colour is perfect for summer. Especially with this horrific rain we are having, I haven't been flashing the pins as much as I would like! 

I plan on styling these ALOT over the Summer mainly with crop tops/jumpers and I also want to try out some double denim, the 90's are definitely making a come back with these jeans!

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer Review

So a few month back I realised I needed to start using a primer, my foundation wasn't lasting anymore than a few hours without turning oily and shiny. Unfortunatly this was due to my oily-combo skin, so I asked a few friends/bloggers what I could use and decided to snap up a primer!

I did a little research and I looked at various products like the Benefit Porefessional and the Smashbox Primer, but they all seemed too expensive for something I'll use everyday under my foundation. 

(The foundation is pricey enough haha!)

So I went into Superdrug and bought Rimmels Stay Matte Primer, kind of on a whim really!

It cost me £5.99 from Superdrug and I've been using it for well over a month now. (Perfect time for a review!) 

So to sum up, I thought it was quite a lightweight cream that blended easily into the skin. When applying my foundation I noticed it blending in much better and smoother.

However, (dun dun dunnn!) it didn't really make my foundation last any longer than usual! So in that sense I won't be repurchasing,  I need a primer thats going to keep my foundation from turning into a greasy mess by lunch time!

Help!

Spring/Summer Look Book: Look 3

My final Look Book post for the week! This look is called 'Summer breeze', an everyday comfortable outfit for when its too hot to handle (yeah I said it, we can dream can't we?).

This outfit is again quite simple! Sometimes jewellery can be annoying when its warm outside, so I stuck to simply styling! 

This pale blue top is from Warehouse, its a loose fit with a button up back. I love floaty tops when its toasty outside! The white shirt was just an add on for if its not as warm as we hoped (ha!), from H&M everyone should have a white shirt in their wardrobes to throw on in the summer for a cover up. 

The pink skirt is from Zara its a linen material, its a lovely full volume skirt and the little white belt creates definition in the waist and matches the shoes perfectly! Shoes from ASOS as seen in my other Look Book posts.

So that concludes my Look Book posts, I can't wait to do my next! I loved doing this one!

Spring/Summer Look Book: Look 2

Continuing on with the Look Book posts, here I bring you my take on 'cocktails in the sunlight'.

This look is again tailored to our unexpected weather forecasts! The colours in this style are girly yet sophisticated, a fresh look that will get you noticed.

Personally one of my favourite buys of the year (yes, the year!) is this tailored pink woollen coat I got in January, from Debenhams. This coat has taken me straight from Autumn/Winter 2013 to Spring/Summer 2014. A pastel coat is definitely an investment I recommend. I have pieced the coat with this colour block dress from Zara, the mixing of the coral and the dusty pink nail the Powder Pastel trend for this season.

I teamed this look with my cuffed sandals from ASOS, featured on Look 1. Again an investment buy, being from Yorkshire we like to buy things that we can wear forever and with multiple outfits! I've worn these shoes ALOT! They work well at amping up your casual outfits.

I did very little accessorising with this look, as I always think simplicity makes your outfit look much more expensive than it actually is, especially for dressed up looks! This outfit totalled at £125 when I bought it, not a bargain buy but I wear these pieces separately all the time!
